Biography: Marge Padgitt has been involved in the chimney industry since
1982. She owns and operates Padgitt Chimney Services in Kansas City,
Missouri. Padgitt has been an industry speaker since 1993, and
writes articles for Alternative Energy Retailer, SNEWS, and SWEEPING, and
various newsletters and newspapers. Marge is currently serving as the
President of the Midwest Chimney Safety Council. She has a B.A. in
Business Administration and an M.A. in Professional Writing, is a HEARTH
Certified Fireplace Appliance Specialist and a CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep
#2856. Marge is currently working on a worldwide chimney sweep
documentary, and a series of instructional chimney video tapes.

Biography: Bob
Priesing is the president of Havelock’s Chimney Sweep, Inc., a company that
performs basic chimney maintenance, chimney relining and restoration, and
masonry repairs. Bob started a home inspection service in Havelock in 1992, in
preparation for his retirement from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1997. In 1995 Bob
bought Havelock’s Chimney Sweep, Inc from it’s founder. Under his management
the business grew, adding services including masonry repairs and historic
restorations. Bob no longer performs home inspections on a regular basis, but
does maintain his license. He has created classes about chimney inspections for
home inspectors and chimney sweeps. He has given these classes in North
Carolina, Ohio, Florida, and New Jersey.

Biography: Martin Wawrla has been involved in the venting industry since
1979. He has developed the Ventinox® Chimney Lining System, TherMix® Chimney
Insulation, and now FasNSeal® , the Special Gas Vent for high efficiency
heating equipment. Wawrla graduated from the University in Vienna, Austria
in 1974, served on the Board of Directors of the Hearth Products Association and
served as a member of hte Technical Committee of the national Chimney Sweep
Guild. Martin founded ProTech Systems, Inc. in 1985 and established
ProTech Manufacturing, Inc. in 1996 to produce the new FasNSeal® vent
system. Martin has conducted many seminars for the venting industry on
technical and business topics since 1979.
